ABA Therapy Services

CENTER-BASED ABA THERAPY

Center-based services are designed to provide your child with daily opportunities to grow and learn in a fun, play-based, and motivating learning environment.  We develop the most effective evidenced-based treatments utilizing creative child-driven material to meet the unique needs of everyone.  Your child will learn in a natural environment focusing on communication, social skills, play skills, daily living skills, and pre-academics to prepare them for their next steps.  Our program offers therapy Monday-Friday 8:30-5:00pm for children 2-6 years of age.

WHAT TO EXPECT:

The consultative process includes the following and is based on the needs of the individual:

In Take Form

The first step in starting a therapeutic relationship with CBG is to complete our intake paperwork.  It will help us gather information about your child and their needs.  We will check your insurance benefits on your behalf to determine eligibility.  Our team will provide you with a step-by-step process to access treatment and resources every step of the way.

Behavior
Assessment

The assessment process entails several appointments with your child's support system.  This is the time spent getting to know your child's strengths and goals to achieve independence across developmental domains and increase their quality of life.  The process typically will take between 3-4 weeks to ensure that we analyze all factors impacting behaviors that will lead to happier and healthier outcomes for the whole family.

Based on the assessment, it will be determined whether your child requires comprehensive or focused treatment.  Your child will be assigned a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) who will work on goals as outlined in the treatment plan.

Collaboration

Having a cohesive therapy team is an imperative component to a child's overall success.  When beginning Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy, our BCBAs always look to the other disciplines involved in your child treatment for collaboration to increase your child's overall success and maintain open communication throughout your child's treatment to ensure all disciplines are working together for best outcomes.

Progress Development

A Board-Certified Behavior Analyst will supervise your child's treatment weekly and make changes to goals and programs based on data collected.  As your child progresses and goals are attained new goals are established to continue building their skills and empowering their independence.

CBG Treatment Guidelines outline the ABA therapy process.  The process is divided into three stages; assessment process which identifies the treatment dosage often referred to as medical necessity for treatment, authorization process, and treatment process.

Focused ABA generally ranges from 10-25 hours per week of 1:1 direct treatment provided by a Registered Behavior Technician.  This does not include weekly oversight by the BCBA and Parent training. Focused ABA is appropriate for individuals who need treatment for only a limited number of key functional skills or have such acute problem behavior that its treatment should be the priority.

A developmentally appropriate ABA assessment process must identify strengths and weaknesses across domains and potential barriers to progress. The information from this process is the basis for developing the individualized ABA treatment plan.
