Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is the leading approach using behavioral principles to increase skills and decrease disruptive behaviors while improving communication, social skills, and independent skills.  All ABA programs are individualized to the learner utilizing evidence-based strategies that focus on specific functions of behavior.  The goal of treatment is to nurture the learner's independence and increase their overall quality of life.

Our team provides direct 1:1 therapy in the home, in schools, various community settings as well as center-based services.

It is important to note that many public schools have policies against outside practitioners or may only consent to observations, but not facilitation.  To ensure that we are able to help in school, it is essential to speak with your child's teachers and administrators and gain insight on their policies and approval process.

The cost of services depends on your current insurance policy and the number of hours that are medically necessary based on the results of our assessment.  Please contact us to ensure that we accept your insurance. If you are private pay, please email us at info@cbgaba.com to request a copy of our Private Pay Agreement to determine if it is a good fit for your needs.

A BCBA conducts behavioral assessments and provides behavior analytical interpretations of the results. The BCBA designs individualized and evidenced-based treatment packages that are carried out by behavior technicians under the training and supervision of the BCBA.  The BCBA is responsible for overseeing and managing a team of behavior technicians assigned to their specific caseload of clients.  BCBAs also collaborate with parents, guardians, and teachers to ensure that the behavioral intervention is implemented appropriately to ensure treatment success.

RBTs are responsible for the direct implementation of skill-acquisition and behavior-reduction plans developed by the BCBA.  They are supervised weekly by an agency BCBA and are required to meet their 5% supervision requirement set forth by the Behavior Analysis Certification Board.  RBTs collect data on individualized programming while creating a fun, interactive and enriching learning environment.  RBTs do not design interventions or conduct behavioral assessments.

The Board-Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst (BCaBA) is an undergraduate-level certification in behavior analysis. Professionals certified at the BCaBA level provide behavior-analytic services under the supervision of a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).  Professionals certified at the BCaBA level may not provide behavior-analytic services without the supervision of a BCBA. BCaBAs may supervise the work of Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs).

CBG Treatment Guidelines outline the ABA therapy process.  The process is divided into three stages; assessment process which identifies the treatment dosage often referred to as medical necessity for treatment, authorization process, and treatment process.

Focused ABA generally ranges from 10-25 hours per week of 1:1 direct treatment provided by a Registered Behavior Technician.  This does not include weekly oversight by the BCBA and Parent training. Focused ABA is appropriate for individuals who need treatment for only a limited number of key functional skills or have such acute problem behavior that its treatment should be the priority.

A developmentally appropriate ABA assessment process must identify strengths and weaknesses across domains and potential barriers to progress. The information from this process is the basis for developing the individualized ABA treatment plan.
